For my final project, I developed a new visual identity for the Regional History Museum of Kardzhali. This project aimed to revitalize and energize the museum’s image by creating a modern, attractive, and cohesive identity that reflects the historical and cultural richness of the region.
My work began with an in-depth analysis of the museum and its needs in terms of visual communication. I identified the absence of a true graphic identity and the necessity of creating a strong brand image to attract not only local visitors but also a national and international audience.
The logo I designed is based on a symbolic concept: a circle integrating an arrow and an inverted « K, » representing the connection between the past and the present. This logo is complemented by a vibrant color palette inspired by Bulgarian traditions and modern typography to create a clear visual hierarchy.
I also designed various communication materials, including posters, flyers, stationery, and merchandise, using the eco-friendly printing technique of risography, which gave a unique artisanal feel to each element. Additionally, I created a landing page for the museum’s website, focusing on simple and effective navigation.
This project was a significant challenge but also an opportunity to showcase my graphic design skills while contributing to the enhancement of an institution that is close to my heart. Through this work, I was able to provide the Regional History Museum of Kardzhali with a complete, modern, and memorable visual identity, aimed at attracting and engaging a wide audience.
